Clinging and Perching Birds

Tawny Frogmouth

While the Tawny Frogmouth resembles an owl, it is not a raptor.  The tawny frogmouth feeds primarily on insects, and mostly sits still waiting for its food to approach catching it in its large beak.  The tawny frogmouth is a nocturnal bird.  Frogmouths sit so still and blend in so well with their environment, that they are difficult to spot.
